R. “Bud” Shepherd, President of Resources Exchange Association, is pleased
to announce the opening of Resources Exchange Association‘s ( REA’s) new
Distribution Center located at 930 Oakley St., Graham, NC.
Over 30,000 square feet of FREE merchandise is displayed and offered
for use by members. A small handling fee is charged that approximates only
5-10% of comparably priced goods. Hundreds of members now enjoy weekly
access to our vast offering of goods and merchandise. Some quantities may
be limited at the discretion of REA. Please call for more information.
REA recruits nonprofit organizations (churches, governmental entities,
public schools, PTA/PTO organizations, etc.) as members with no initial or
annual fee. The members are allowed weekly access to our Distribution
Centers to pick up a large variety of merchandise for nominal handling
fees.
REA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit Corporation promoting the concept of
“Gifts-in-kind” (actual products from a manufacturer’s inventory). REA
forms a link between corporate America and the nonprofit tax-exempt
community. Recognizing gifts-in-kind as a major thrust of corporate
philanthropy in today's society, the corporation is able to receive large
volumes of merchandize and then redistributes these products to other
qualified nonprofit organizations.
REA’s free donations of gifts-in-kind products come from hundreds of
industries, corporations, and distributors. REA channels this industrial
and commercial surplus inventory to educational and other nonprofit tax
exempt organizations for the use of the ill, needy and infants (minors).
