"If my people, who are called by my
name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from
their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their
sin and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Our liberty is a precious
gift of God. It was bought at a great price.
We have as a nation not given God the thanks and honor He deserves for
it. We are focused on what we yet want, rather than being
thankful for what we already have. We need to repent and
pray for mercy and forgiveness as we intercede for our country.
Let us give Him the honor due His name, and seek his face. |

"who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a
time as this?" (Esther 4:14) Let us all give thanks for a
Christian President that seeks guidance and strength from a God who is
merciful and just. Pray that George Bush will continue to
publicly speak out about his faith and love of the Lord that we all might
become bolder and stronger in showing our love and faith in Jesus.
As President Bush continues to seek support for Americas plan to end
the threat of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and throughout this
world, pray for help to come from every corner. Pray that our
allies will join in supporting the President during these critical times.
Join the Presidential Prayer Team and pray for our President and his
administration every day. |

"Of all the dispositions and habits
which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are
indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the
tribute of patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of
human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and
citizens. The mere politician, equally with the pious man,
ought to respect and cherish them....Let it simply be asked: Where is
the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of
religious obligation desert the oaths which are the instruments of
investigation in courts of justice? And let us with
caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without
religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of
refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience
both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion
of religious principle." (George
Washington's Farewell Address, September 19, 1796) |
